Meet Gosia

The person behind Art of Space.

I’m Gosia, an interior designer based in Dunfermline, Scotland.

I love colour, character and the possibilities in things we already own. I’m drawn to homes that tell you something about the people living in them - through a favourite chair, a collection of books or an unexpected combination of materials.

Art of Space brings that curiosity together with practical design experience and a deeper interest in how we experience our surroundings.

Why People Come First

I hold a Master’s degree in Interior Design, and my professional experience includes work across residential, education and public-sector interiors.

My Master’s research, Your Space, Your Self, explored relationships between personality, sensory preferences and emotional responses to interiors.

It began with a question that still guides my work: why do some spaces immediately feel right, while others never quite feel like home?

That research informs the questions I ask. How do you use the room? What helps you settle? What feels distracting? Which belongings would you miss if they were gone? Your answers help shape the design.

How I Work

Start with you

Your routines, preferences and priorities give the project its direction.

Notice how the room feels

Light, colour, texture, sound and layout all contribute to your experience of a space.

Look for possibilities

I consider what can be moved, reused, adapted or given a new purpose.

Make it work in everyday life

A design needs to make sense for your home, your budget and the people using it.

A home you can recognise yourself in.
